Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely operate a forklift for stacking material, loading trailers, and emptying containers around the facility in an efficient and safe manner. The role requires completing OSHA forklift certification, adhering to safety policies, and delivering dependable material handling.

Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of forklift experience, strong time management, professional customer service, and the ability to follow shifts and company rules

Qualifications

• OSHA forklift certification (29 CFR 1910.178) required.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift operation experience.
• Experience at OSHA-regulated sites preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the forklift and equipment.
• Load trailers safely and efficiently.
• Organize material in the warehouse for optimal flow.
• Coordinate with supervisor to empty full containers and trash bins.
• Monitor equipment condition to minimize downtime and ensure readiness.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
