Job summary

Zachry is seeking a Safety Facilitator for construction sites in NC to lead safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA standards. You will conduct safety briefs, perform incident investigations, and support pre-task planning and JHA development, while promoting a culture of proactive risk mitigation.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years in safety supervisory roles, OSHA 500 certification, and the ability to train OSHA 10/30 courses.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma.
• Must have 5+ years experience in construction safety.
• Must meet all physical requirements.
• Must be able to work at heights in excess of 300 ft.
• Must hold OSHA 500 certificate and be an experienced instructor for OSHA 10 and 30-hour courses.
• Must read and apply OSHA/MSHA documents and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Observe the working conditions of the job site to ensure safe work conditions exist.
• Take corrective action when unsafe conditions exist, including isolating access and stopping work when needed.
• Observe the behavior of the site workforce for unsafe acts and correct actions immediately.
• Report all observations of unsafe conditions and acts to management verbally and in writing.
• Assist site workforce in planning work with safety considerations.
• Assist with safety briefs, pre-task planning, and development of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Respond to incidents and incidents by providing emergency aid and ensuring unsafe acts are corrected.
• Assist in issuing and inspecting personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist in investigations on safety incidents or accidents.
