Job summary

MCSA is seeking an OS&H Supervisor to ensure a safe workplace for all employees on the DUF6 project. You will provide technical direction to OS&H personnel and ensure regulatory compliance across organizational, federal, and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in safety, health, industrial hygiene, environmental engineering, or related technical field or equivalent.
• 7+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in occupational safety and health.
• Ability to obtain and maintain HSPD-12 credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to OS&H personnel and supervise OS&H activities.
• Organize daily work to maximize employee utilization, contracts, quality and budgets.
• Enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOE orders and federal safety regulations.
• Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
• Lead incident investigations to determine root causes of accidents.
• Implement corrective actions to prevent future workplace injuries.
• Assist with development, review and implementation of OS&H policies and programs.
• Assist with design and delivery of safety training programs.
• Manage PPE programs including selection, fit, and tracking of equipment.
• Maintain safety documentation including incident logs and compliance reports.
• Review safety protocols and participate in safety committees to drive compliance.

Position Overview

Under limited supervision, the Occupational Safety & Health (OS&H) Supervisor ensures a safe workplace for all employees. This position is responsible for providing technical direction to OS&H personnel to achieve compliance with organizational, federal and state regulatory requirements for the DUF6 project. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Functional:

• Supports and guides OS&H technicians through direct operational oversight.
• Organizes daily work to maximize employee utilization, contracts, quality, and budgets.
• Enforces compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOE orders and federal safety regulations.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: (Must meet DOE O 426.2 minimum requirements)

• Bachelor of Science Degree in safety, health or industrial hygiene, environmental engineering, or technical school in a related field or equivalent
• 7+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• Experience in occupational safety, health
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) credential
