Job summary

WuXi AppTec Group seeks Technical Services Engineers - OSD Equipment for Middletown, NY to sustain reliable OSD manufacturing equipment. You will provide hands-on engineering support, troubleshoot issues, and drive PM plans to maintain GMP-compliant operation.

The role emphasizes equipment reliability, calibration coordination, and CMMS execution while collaborating with Manufacturing, CQV, Quality, and Facilities. Prior pharma equipment experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of pharma equipment experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment.
• Working knowledge of preventive/corrective maintenance, calibration coordination, and CMMS.
• Understanding of cGMP lifecycle, maintenance documentation, change control, and deviations.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and P&IDs; vendor docs familiarity is beneficial.
• Strong structured troubleshooting and clear technical recommendations.
• Ability to work with Manufacturing, Engineering, CQV, Quality, EHS, and Vendors in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on equipment SME support for OSD manufacturing systems and day-to-day operation.
• Respond to equipment issues, troubleshoot alarms, and restore service with root-cause analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and improve preventive-maintenance plans and strategies.
• Create and maintain CMMS work instructions, plans, and documentation requirements.
• Support minor repairs, reliability improvements, and change controls input.
• Coordinate OEM and specialty-service support as needed.
• Provide mechanical support for motors, gearboxes, bearings, seals, belts, pumps, valves, and systems.
• Coordinate calibration and support for instruments, sensors, and electrical interfaces.
