Job summary

West Fraser is seeking Production Technicians to operate and assist with OSB manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe operation, quality output, and adherence to production targets. You will support a dynamic team, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and flexibility to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Eligible to legally work in the United States.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to work a 12-hour rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a team and contribute to safety and productivity.
• Willingness to cross-train and learn new jobs and skills.
• Consistent, predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment that produces OSB.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to manage product flow.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and clean-up on equipment.
• Work safely and effectively in a team environment.
• Problem solve and troubleshoot equipment and issues regularly.
• Involvement in ongoing process improvement in the work area.
• Complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping.
• Attend team meetings and regular training sessions.
• Comply with all safety standards and protocols.
