Job summary

West Fraser in Lanett, AL is seeking a Production Manager to lead the OSB production crews, ensure safe operation of equipment, quality OSB, and achievement of production targets. You will direct production and labor, mentor supervisors, drive efficiency, and implement tracking and quality systems while coordinating with senior staff on safety, finance, and purchasing.

The role emphasizes building teamwork, accountability, and a culture of safety and internal promotion as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading a manufacturing production team.
• BS or BA diploma or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Ability to define expectations and hold teams accountable.
• Experience improving efficiency and margin.

Responsibilities

• Review schedules and staffing needs to meet production targets.
• Direct and coordinate production and labor for margin improvement.
• Develop or implement production tracking and quality systems.
• Mentor personnel and promote efficiency and leadership.
• Lead process improvements to gain efficiencies.
• Communicate clearly with team members to minimize miscommunications.
• Coordinate with senior staff on safety, finance, and purchasing.
• Lead by example and support overall company goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
