Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, LLC is seeking a Software Developer II focused on System Security in Huntsville, AL to strengthen OS-level protections and cyber resiliency for mission-critical systems. The role emphasizes kernel-level work, security tooling, and deep OS internals with mentorship from senior engineers.

You will work on Windows, Linux, and VxWorks platforms, delivering cryptographic bindings and secure execution environments while aligning with the National security requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development in systems-level C/C++.
• Experience with memory management, pointers and low-level concepts.
• Debugging using gdb, WinDbg, or Visual Studio Debugger.
• Proficient with Git in a team environment.
• Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop OS-level security features for Windows, Linux, and VxWorks.
• Build detection and response mechanisms for advanced threats.
• Integrate cryptographic bindings with trusted hardware as needed.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and mentor junior teammates.
• Contribute to kernel modules, drivers, and security tools.
