Job summary

Roadtex Transportation, now part of Echo Global Logistics, is seeking a logistics-focused customer service associate in Memphis to support OS&D procedures and claims resolution. You will coordinate with terminals, warehouse services, and shippers to resolve lost or damaged freight while following SOPs and maintaining accurate documentation in Roadvision.

The role requires 1+ years in customer service or logistics, strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities, and solid skills in MS Office

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2-year degree highly preferred.
• 1+ years' experience in customer service or logistics.
• Proven ability to multitask and solve problems when handling difficult issues.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures with little oversight.
• Clear, concise communication with external and internal customers.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Work with Roadtex Terminals and Warehouse Services on OS&D procedures to mitigate claims exposure.
• Collaborate with operations, customer service, service partners and shippers to resolve lost or damaged freight.
• Conduct thorough investigations of shortages with evidence gathering and documentation.
• Manage disposition for On-Hand shipments and Refusals; complete paperwork and system updates in Roadvision.
• Proactively communicate issues and work to resolve within the team.
• Manage relationships within assigned accounts.
• Adopt Roadtex/Echo technology to improve efficiency.
• Support team efforts to meet department and company goals.

Roadtex Transportation has become a leader in the nationwide LTL industry, specializing in transporting time and temperature-sensitive products. We handle refrigerated and LTL needs by leveraging no sailing schedules, our nationwide network of 32 strategically placed temperature-controlled facilities, our state-of-the-art tracking, and our specialized equipment and warehousing capabilities. The acquisition brings a truckload brokerage and expanded transportation management solutions to Roadtex's customers while providing Echo with our national warehouse footprint and advanced temperature-controlled transportation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work with Roadtex Terminals and Warehouse Services on ensuring proper OS&D procedures are followed to mitigate claims exposure.
• Work closely with operations, customer service, service partners and shippers to bring resolution to lost or damaged freight.
• Conduct thorough investigations of shortages, including gathering evidence, documentation of results, and communication.
• Manage the disposition process for "On-Hand" shipments and "Refusals".Complete all necessary paperwork and system updates within Roadvision.
• Proactively communicate issues and work to resolve within the team.
• Manage relationships within assigned accounts.
• Perform routine duties with minimal supervision following standard practices or procedures.
• Gain competency and adopt Roadtex/Echo's technology to be as efficient as possible.
• Participate in pro-active team efforts to achieve department and company goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; 2-year community college or vocational degree highly preferred
• 1+ years' experience in customer service or logistics
• Proven track record in handling multiple task and problem solving when handling difficult customer issues
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures with little to no oversight
• Clear, concise communication skills both written and verbal to effectively assist external and internal customers
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and able to collaborate with others
