Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an Orthotist/Prosthetist within the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System to provide orthotic and/or prosthetic devices and treatment. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement O&P care for Veterans.

The role involves gait analysis, patient education, documentation, and device fabrication or modification, using CAD/CAM systems as appropriate. Monday–Friday, on-site scheduling.

Qualifications

• Gait analysis and clinical assessment in interdisciplinary settings.
• Ability to educate patients and families about orthotic/prosthetic procedures.
• Document findings and coordinate care with other health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with physicians, patients and care teams to develop O&P treatment plans.
• Conducts gait analysis, ROM, balance, and motor skills assessments.
• Selects materials and fabricates devices; or modifies components for final device assembly.
