Job summary

Shriners Children’s Chicago seeks a Manager of Orthotics & Prosthetics to lead clinical, technical, and administrative staff, ensuring high-quality orthotic and prosthetic devices per physician prescriptions. The role requires ABC certification, a completed O&P residency (NCOPE), and at least five years of experience in O&P within hospital settings; supervisory experience is preferred.

You will coordinate with Fabrication Center, utilize OPIE and VORUM CAD, and support accreditation efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with ABC certification and completion of NCOPE residencies in O&P.
• Minimum five years of clinical and technical experience in orthotics and prosthetics.
• Current ABC certification and licensure as required.
• Experience in hospital or medical office with insurance authorization.
• Familiarity with O&P coding, billing, and regulatory compliance preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical, technical, and administrative staff on day-to-day operations.
• Direct and manage Practitioners, O&P Technicians and Department Assistants.
• Coordinate workflow with Fabrication Center for custom fabrication.
• Utilize OPIE and VORUM CAD in daily operations.
• Support accreditation activities and adherence to SHC policies.
