Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a fabrication-focused technician to handcraft and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices.

You will work closely with clinicians and patients to adjust and finalize devices, in a small workshop away from the exam room, with a strong emphasis on the fabrication process. This role requires solid hand skills and experience with band saws, drill presses, vacuum systems, heat guns and other small tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record within policy guidelines.
• Technical training or 2 years fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices.
• Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated and off-the-shelf orthoses.
• Provide education to patients on the application, use, care, and expected outcomes for DME products.
