Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a Clinical Aide to support certified clinicians in orthotic and prosthetic patient care. Under supervision, you will prepare rooms, assist with procedures, and perform fabrication tasks while maintaining precise documentation.

You will handle inventory, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with Medicare, OSHA, and safety standards. The role requires a high school diploma and 1 year in a patient-facing role, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient facing role.
• Preference for allied health professionals (PTA, OTA, Athletic trainer, etc).
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified clinicians in delivering patient care under direct supervision.
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for clinical procedures.
• Perform technical fabrication tasks, including making and modifying molds.
• Execute treatment modifications, adjustments, and repairs as directed by the supervising clinician.
• Fit and provide soft goods items to patients.
• Provide alterations and adjustments to soft goods items as needed.
• Provide orthotics fitting services independently.
• Assist with selected patient follow-up care under clinician direction.
• Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care provided.
• Communicate patient information and care outcomes to the supervising clinician.
• Ensure all patient procedures comply with clinical protocols and standards.
• Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory monitoring of prosthetic and orthotic materials.
• Contact and coordinate with vendors to order necessary materials and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment.
• Adhere to safety regulations including Medicare and OSHA requirements.
