Job summary

Lawall Prosthetic and Orthotic Services in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Prosthetic Technician for a full-time position. The role focuses on fabricating and repairing prosthetics and orthoses in a friendly, safe environment.

You will perform lay-ups, lamination, molding, assembly, and quality checks while interpreting patient data to determine device needs and ensuring accuracy and durability of the final product.

Qualifications

• Initiates efforts in quality improvement.

• Recognizes issues and requirements of problems.
• High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates prosthetics including lay-ups, lamination, molding, shaping/forming, assembly, and static bench alignment.
• Performs quality checks on materials and completed work to ensure fit, operation, durability, and cosmetic appearance.
• Completes assigned work for device delivery per company standards.
• Determines prosthetic needs of the patient by interpreting clinician data and measurements.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
• Creates effective relationships with staff and customers.
• Helps assure internal and external customer responsiveness.
• Adheres to Employee Handbook, Infection Control Policies and Procedures, applicable protocols and standards including ABC, BOC, and JCAHO.
• Participates in projects as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

• Fabricates, including but not limited to, lay‑ups and lamination, molding, shaping/forming, assembly, and static bench alignment.
• Quality checks on materials, required procedures and completed work by ensuring accuracy of fit, operation, durability and cosmetic appearance of prosthetics and orthoses fabricated or repaired.
• Completes assigned work for device delivery per company standards
• Determines the prosthetic needs of the patient by interpreting data and measurements provided by the clinician.
