Job summary

Lawall-Prosthetics- in Wilmington seeks a Prosthetic Technician for 1 full-time position. The candidate will fabricate prosthetics, perform quality checks, and determine patient needs from clinician data in a friendly, safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates prosthetics including lay-ups, lamination, molding, shaping/forming, assembly, and static bench alignment.
• Performs quality checks on materials and completed work for accurate fit, operation, durability and cosmetics.
• Completes assigned work for device delivery per company standards.
• Determines prosthetic needs by interpreting data and measurements from the clinician.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
• Creates effective relationships with staff and customers.
• Helps assure internal and external customer responsiveness.
• Adheres to Infection Control Policies and Procedures and applicable standards.
• Participates in projects as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Fabricates, including but not limited to, lay‑ups and lamination, molding, shaping/forming, assembly, and static bench alignment.
• Quality checks on materials, required procedures and completed work by ensuring accuracy of fit, operation, durability and cosmetic appearance of prosthetics and orthoses fabricated or repaired.
• Completes assigned work for device delivery per company standards
• Determines the prosthetic needs of the patient by interpreting data and measurements provided by the clinician.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
• Create effective relationships with staff and customers
• Helps assure internal and external customer responsiveness
• Always adheres to Employee Handbook, Infection Control Policies and Procedures, applicable protocols and standards including ABC, BOC, and JCAHO
• Participates in projects as needed
• Completes other duties as assigned
