Bassett Healthcare Network in Central New York seeks a BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our staff in Cooperstown, NY. The role offers a large practice, an established physician group, and access to a dedicated trauma room with a strong referral base.

Compensation includes a salary range of $588,390–$690,684 and a sign-on bonus up to $100,000. This position supports a major teaching affiliate and comprehensive benefits, with visa sponsorship available.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training encouraged but not required.
• Access to an OR for urgent and cold trauma cases; time for elective trauma reconstructive practice.
• Separate call schedules for Spine and Hand.
• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an eight-county system.

• Be part of Bassett Healthcare Network, affiliated with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
• General Orthopedic Call with Orthopedic Hospitalist.
• Referral base of over 150 Primary Care Clinicians.
• Dedicated OR Trauma Room.
• Full Support Staff including APCs, residents, and medical students.
• Visa Sponsorship Available.

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, in Central New York, is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our staff.

• Salary Range: $588,390 - $690,684


• Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000


• Location: Cooperstown, NY

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Fellowship training encouraged but not a requirement. This surgeon would have access to an OR for urgent and "cold trauma" cases in a room reserved for emergent surgery. There would also be time allotted for elective trauma reconstructive practice. There are separate call schedules for Spine and Hand. The practice covers one centrally located ER.


• Join an established group of Orthopedic Surgeons and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC's)


• Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region


• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.


• General Orthopedic Call with Orthopedic Hospitalist


• Referral Base of over 150 Primary Care Clinicians


• Dedicated OR Trauma Room


• Full Support Staff including APC's with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction


• Visa Sponsorship Available

• MD, DO or MBBS


• BC/BE in Orthopedics


• Completion of an accredited USA residency in orthopedic surgery, successful completion of which results in board eligibility


• New York Medical License (or eligibility to obtain)


• BLS Certification Required


• DEA Required
