Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to join the Orthopedics team in Brunswick, ME. This full-time role supports busy clinics with rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting with exams and procedures.

Eligible candidates receive sign-on bonuses: $4,000 for 0-1 year experience and $5,000 for 1+ year experience for full-time positions. BLS required; prior MA experience preferred where noted. Excellent benefits and a day schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following: MA program with 160 hours clinical experience; Adult Education MA program with 6 months clinical experience; or 1 year clinical experience in a multi-provider practice.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, assist with exams and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical equipment.
• Support providers with documentation, orders, and patient flow.
• Provide patient education and follow-up instructions.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams.
