Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• 2 years of pre-hospital care activities or acute/critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support, take patient vitals, and report abnormalities.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing; collect specimens for external testing.
• Assist providers and nursing staff during procedures and care activities.
• Review medication refills and provider orders; assist with prior authorizations.
• Educate patients and provide instructions under supervision.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment; stock, sterilize, and calibrate as needed.
• Coordinate check-in/check-out, referrals, and insurance verification.
• Escort patients to labs or radiology and support communications with patients.

Education

Associates degree preferred
