Job summary

The Nemours Foundation seeks a Medical Assistant to act as a liaison among patients, families, providers, and care teams in a clinical setting. You will coordinate patient flow, collect and review data for intake, and document pertinent history in the medical record according to protocol.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, preparing rooms and equipment, documenting vital signs, assisting with exams, performing point-of-care tests, and administering vaccines as defined by policy.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Assistant strongly preferred.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA.
• BLS certification with the American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers.
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment; maintain supplies.
• Document vital signs, chief complaints, and visit reason.
• Assist with examinations and treatments; collect specimens.
• Administer vaccines and medications per policy; provide vaccine records.
• Support patient flow and wait times; confirm visits per protocol.
