Job summary

Vogrinc Search Group invites a skilled orthopedic hand surgeon to join a well-established Northwest Indiana practice in Hobart. This full-time opportunity focuses on comprehensive care of the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow in a tech-forward facility renowned for HIMSS Stage VII status.

You will perform complex surgeries, manage a 1:6 call rotation, and collaborate with athletic trainers and therapists. Indiana licensure, board certification, and EPIC EMR proficiency are required, with

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Proficient in arthroscopic techniques and upper extremity procedures.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical and non-surgical care for hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow.
• Clinic volume around 30 patients per day.
• Call rotation: 1:6.
• Perform complex hand and upper extremity surgeries.
• Evaluate chronic conditions such as arthritis and Dupuytren's contracture.
• Handle acute upper extremity trauma including revascularization.
• Utilize minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques.

Job Type : Full-time Monday – Friday, flexible work schedule
Location: Hobart, IN

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow
• Clinic patients per day: 30
• Call Rotation: 1:6
• Perform complex hand and upper extremity surgeries, including tendon repairs, nerve decompression (carpal tunnel), fracture fixation, and microvascular procedures
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations for chronic conditions such as arthritis, Dupuytren's contracture, and congenital hand differences
• Manage acute upper extremity trauma, including revascularization and replantation where applicable
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques for wrist and small joint procedures

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Demonstrated proficiency in general orthopedic procedures and arthroscopic techniques
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with athletic trainers and physical therapists
