Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. in Hobart, IN seeks a Board Certified/Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon focused on the hand to join a full-time practice in a premier clinical setting.

You will treat the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow with advanced techniques, while benefiting from a flexible schedule and a tech-forward environment including EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Possession of Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration.
• Proficiency in general orthopedic procedures and arthroscopic techniques.
• Experience with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with athletic trainers and physical therapists.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hand, wrist, forearm and elbow care, surgical and non-surgical.
• Clinic patients per day: the volume is not specified in the HTML; concise clinical duties.
• Participate in call rotation and complex hand/upper extremity surgeries.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations for conditions like arthritis and Dupuytren's contracture.
• Manage acute upper extremity trauma including revascularization and replantation where applicable.
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive techniques for wrist and small joint procedures.

Job Type : Full-time Monday – Friday, flexible work schedule
Location: Hobart, IN

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow
• Clinic patients per day: 30
• Call Rotation: 1:6
• Perform complex hand and upper extremity surgeries, including tendon repairs, nerve decompression (carpal tunnel), fracture fixation, and microvascular procedures
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations for chronic conditions such as arthritis, Dupuytren's contracture, and congenital hand differences
• Manage acute upper extremity trauma, including revascularization and replantation where applicable
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques for wrist and small joint procedures

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Demonstrated proficiency in general orthopedic procedures and arthroscopic techniques
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with athletic trainers and physical therapists
