Sun Recruiting, Inc. seeks an Orthopedic Surgeon specialized in hand to join a well-established Northwest Indiana practice in Hobart, IN.

This full-time role offers a flexible schedule within a premier, tech-forward environment that prioritizes physician well-being and work-life balance. Responsibilities include comprehensive hand and upper-extremity care, clinic about 30 patients daily, and a 1:6 call rotation.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Proficiency in general orthopedic procedures and arthroscopic techniques
• Experience with EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with athletic trainers and physical therapists

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow conditions
• Clinic patients per day: 30
• Call Rotation: 1:6
• Perform complex hand and upper extremity surgeries, including tendon repairs, nerve decompression (carpal tunnel), fracture fixation, and microvascular procedures
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations for arthritis, Dupuytren's contracture, and congenital hand differences
• Manage acute upper extremity trauma, including revascularization and replantation where applicable
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques for wrist and small joint procedures

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow
• Clinic patients per day: 30
• Call Rotation: 1:6
• Perform complex hand and upper extremity surgeries, including tendon repairs, nerve decompression (carpal tunnel), fracture fixation, and microvascular procedures
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations for chronic conditions such as arthritis, Dupuytren's contracture, and congenital hand differences
• Manage acute upper extremity trauma, including revascularization and replantation where applicable
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques for wrist and small joint procedures

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
• Demonstrated proficiency in general orthopedic procedures and arthroscopic techniques
• Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with athletic trainers and physical therapists
