Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners is hiring a radiology X-ray technician to greet patients, escort to rooms, and perform diagnostic X-rays using PACS and Medic systems. The role requires Connecticut licensure and ARRT registration, with orthopedic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of radiology (two-year program)
• Valid Connecticut X-ray technician license
• ARRT registration preferred
• Minimum two years of experience as X-ray technician
• Orthopedic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and escort to X-ray rooms
• Enter data for each X-ray in PACS system promptly
• Perform diagnostic X-rays as requested
• Interact with physicians, patients and colleagues
• Maintain and order X-ray supplies
• File and retrieve X-rays including OR list; generate copies of films and CDs
• Use Medic and PACS systems to locate patient files
• Erase cassettes for imaging weekly
• Follow HIPAA rules and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
