Job summary

Virtua Medical Group is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our inpatient orthopedic trauma team in Mt. Holly, with ancillary support to other service lines.

This role emphasizes comprehensive history taking, physical exams, diagnostic interpretation, and performing surgical first assisting. The position requires current NJ PA/NP licensure, NCCPA certification for PAs or active NP certification with prescriptive authority, and at least two years of orthopedic

Qualifications

• Orthopedic experience including surgical first assist preferred (ACL reconstruction, shoulder arthroscopy).
• BLS certification and driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive social, medical and orthopedic history.
• Perform physical examinations with strong anatomy knowledge.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; document findings.
• Assist in hospital rounds and treatment planning for orthopedics.
• Perform surgical first assisting duties and related procedures.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning.
