Job summary

EmergeOrtho is a premier NC orthopedic care provider seeking a Physical Therapy Technician to supportPhysical Therapists and Assistants. Duties include preparing patients, assisting with exercises, operating equipment, and maintaining treatment areas and records.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma, preferably a Bachelor's, and experience in orthopedic clinics. Strong communication, patient focus, and teamwork are essential to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Previous experience in an orthopedic clinic setting preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Strong customer orientation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of precautions for patients undergoing physical therapy
• Operate treatment equipment safely
• Observe patient progress during therapy sessions
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist with positioning
• Prepare equipment and supplies for sessions
• Communicate patient progress to supervising therapists
• Assist patients with exercises and teach home exercises when appropriate
• Maintain medical records of patient progress
• Clean and prepare treatment areas and sterilize equipment
• Respond to assistants' requests during exams and treatments
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager
