Job summary

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush is seeking a dedicated Ortho Tech or MA for full-time work at our Munster, IN clinic. You will support physicians and staff with casts, dressings, wound care, phlebotomy, and patient education in a busy outpatient setting.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, plus 1+ year orthopedic/healthcare experience and certifications as an Orthopedic Technologist and Medical Assistant. No weekends; competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One+ year of orthopedic or healthcare experience.
• Certified Orthopedic Technologist certification.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and clinical staff in full scope of orthopedics services.
• Apply and remove casts, splints, dressings as directed.
• Prepare and fit orthopedic bracing devices and DME.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen processing as needed.
• Instruct patients on care of casts, splints, and braces.
• Wound care as directed by physician.
• Maintain supply inventory and prepare rooms for examinations.
• Travel to other clinics may be required.
