Job summary

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, LLC is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Technologist (Ortho Tech or MA) for our Munster, Indiana clinic. The role supports physicians and staff in orthopedic care, including casting, splinting, dressing changes, wound care, and phlebotomy.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with no weekends, based at the Munster location. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, with 1+ years in orthopedics/healthcare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of orthopedic/healthcare experience preferred.
• Certification as Orthopedic Technologist and Medical Assistant are required or highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and clinical staff in the full scope of orthopedic services.
• Cast, splint, and dressing changes per physician orders.
• Assist with wound care, venipuncture, and specimen collection.
• Prepare and fit orthopedic braces and DME.
• Instruct patients on care of casts, splints, and walking aids.
• Travel to other clinics may be required.
• Maintain room readiness and inventory; order supplies and create POs.
