Job summary

Providence Medical Foundation invites applications for an Orthopedic Technician to assist physicians with casts and limb stabilization, wound care, and patient education. This role operates within a hospital/clinic setting under the supervision of the Back Office Lead/Medical Office Manager.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited orthopedic technical training program and holds BLS certification, with at least one year of orthopedic experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited orthopedic technical training program.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• At least one (1) year full-time work experience in a hospital, clinic or office setting, directly in orthopedic patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthopedic physician in providing casts and/or limb stability.
• Provide wound care and general nursing care within certification/licensure.
• Deliver patient education and support under supervision.
