Job summary

Baptist Health in central Alabama seeks an Orthopedic Technologist to provide technical support to physicians, PAs, and NPs in delivering standard orthopedic care and to assist in preparing rooms and patients for exams and procedures.

Under supervision, the Technologist applies and removes common orthopedic devices, supports routine procedures, and may take on additional duties within scope of the role; NBOTC or ROT certification and BLS are required or must be obtained within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to physicians, PAs, and NPs in delivering standard orthopedic care.
• Prepare rooms and patients for orthopedic examinations and procedures.
• Apply and remove common orthopedic devices and appliances.
• Assist in routine procedures.
• Work under supervision of the Physician or licensed practitioner.
• May have additional duties within the scope of the role.
