Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast- Orthopedic Clinic in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking an Orthopedic Technician. The role supports orthopedic surgeons, assists in applying casts and splints, and maintains patient records with confidentiality.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and certification by the National Association of Orthopedic Technologists is preferred. Full-Time position with standard 40-hour weeks, day hours.

• Must be eligible for staff privileges at hospitals in which orthopedic surgeons work.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy and medical terminology.
• Competency in applying casts and splints and surgical technology.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification(s): Recommend certification by the National Association of Orthopedic Technologists.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

• Eligible for staff privileges at hospitals in which orthopedic surgeons work.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy and medical terminology.
• Competency in applying casts and splints and surgical technology.
• Must be capable and willing to keep patients' films and medical records confidential.
