Qualifications

• Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification preference: National Association of Orthopedic Technologists preferred.
• Eligible for staff privileges at hospitals where orthopedic surgeons work.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy and medical terminology.
• Competency in applying casts and splints and surgical technology.
• Confidential handling of patients' films and medical records.
• Stewardship in use of supplies.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
