We are seeking an Orthopedic Technician for our Southside Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves casting, applying splints, dispensing, and applying DME items per physician orders, along with administrative duties.

Essential Functions:

• Apply and adjust fiberglass casts; assemble and attach orthopedic traction devices as directed by the physician.
• Educate patients on cast/splint care and DME usage.
• Maintain knowledge of DME products and indications.
• Keep log sheets and spreadsheets updated.
• Place orders based on calculated par levels, adjusting as needed.
• Coordinate with the Auth Team on patient financial responsibility and communicate this to patients.
• Organize received stock and keep work areas tidy.
• Report usage trends to the Practice Manager.
• Review inventory daily to ensure adequate stock for upcoming clinics.
• Assist in clinic operations as needed.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Technician, or Medical Assistant program preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum one-year related experience in a medical facility preferred.
