Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED plus one (1) year of direct patient care experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Medical Assistant or Orthopedic Tech experience

Responsibilities:
Provides professional and competent assistance to physicians with the application and management of casts for orthopedic patients
Educates patients regarding casts, splints, or braces following application
Collects and records patients' medical history and acquires patient vital signs.
Advises patients regarding treatment, medication, and specific physician instructions
Collects lab samples and completes documentation for submission to the lab
Monitors inventory of and obtains necessary supplies and/or equipment for patient care in the orthopedic unit
Performs other duties as assigned
