Job summary

Arkansas Children’s Hospital is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Tech for our Bentonville Walk-In Clinic. This full-time position (36 hours/week) supports physicians and nurses with routine orthopedic care, applying and removing casts, braces, and splints, and assisting with prescribed procedures.

The role requires casting experience, pediatric care awareness, and at least 2 years of relevant experience; ROT certification is recommended.

Qualifications

• Casting experience preferred.
• No formal education requirements for the role.
• 2 years of relevant experience; HS Diploma or GED may substitute for 2 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Applies and removes casts, braces, and splints per physician orders.
• Performs wound care and dressing changes per physician orders.
• Assists patients when learning to use orthopedic appliances.
• Assists the physician or nurse with orthopedic procedures.
• Completes patient care in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
• Documents patient care and other assignments according to department guidelines.
• Recognizes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed staff.
