Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center (ROC) is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons by preparing case carts, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment throughout orthopedic procedures. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to infection control, and readiness of supplies and equipment.

Ideal candidates have a Surgical Technology certificate/degree and are committed to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Sterile technique and procedure.
• Surgical instrumentation including sterile processing.
• Anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare case carts for the next day’s surgery schedule and note missing items.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
• Demonstrate proper sterile technique and monitor breaches.
• Assist with instrument handling, tray prep, and equipment readiness.
• Assist with room turnover and OR prep for the next patient.
