Job summary

LeoForce Hartford, CT is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory orthopedics team. This entry-level role supports surgeons, anesthesiologists, and RNs to ensure procedures run smoothly in a busy operating room.

You will prepare ORs, set up sterile instruments, and assist during surgeries while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety. Day shift with no nights, weekends, or holidays, allows a predictable schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as CST in orthopedics
• Current CST certification required
• Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for procedures and ensure equipment is functioning safely.
• Prepare patient and OR for surgery and support the team during procedures.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications.
• Assist with patient care before and after surgeries under RN supervision.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary assistance.
• Ensure specimens are correctly handled and processed.
• Maintain high standards of medical and professional conduct in patient care.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized per health guidelines.
• Participate in analysis of procedures for patient safety and interventions.
