Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program is required.
• BLS Certification required.
• 2 years’ experience preferred.
• Must maintain CEU's in pertinent clinical practice according to licensure requirements.
• Experience in orthopaedics or primary care settings.
• Proficient with computers and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a decentralized organization.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks; results-driven.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services to patients under the direction of the physician.
• Examine patients, document medical data, and interpret test results.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; coordinate care with the supervising physician.
• Assist in operating room with designated duties; preoperative activities per policy.
• Develop and implement patient management plans; ensure continuity of care.
• Counsel patients on treatment regimens and health maintenance.
