Job summary

OrthoArizona in Phoenix is seeking a Surgery/Triage Nurse to support pre- and post-operative care, triage calls, and patient coordination across its orthopedic specialty team.

The role emphasizes accurate charting in EMR and collaboration with physicians and staff. Requires RN or LPN license in Arizona, CPR, and at least 1 year in healthcare or surgical settings; ModMed EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited school of nursing as RN or LPN.
• Active and in good standing Arizona State Nursing Licensure.
• Maintain CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare or surgical setting.
• Experience with EMR software, ideally ModMed.

Responsibilities

• Observe, record, and report patient condition.
• Screen patients for medical history information.
• Instruct on pre- and post-operative care.
• Arrange patient admission to hospital or care facility.
• Triage incoming patient calls.
• Instruct on medication and treatment plan instructions.
• Update patient care plans in the EMR.
• Order and inspect pre-operative testing.
• Share pre-operative results with the physician.
• Monitor patient progress between visits.
• Assist staff with clinical patient care issues.
• All other duties as assigned.
