Job summary
Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedic Surgery team. This full-time role includes first assist in surgical procedures and autonomous patient care with physician collaboration, in both clinic and operating room settings.
The ideal candidate has a Master's degree, California PA license, NCCPA certification, and DEA authorization; BLS required. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, relocation assistance, and opportunities for specialty growth.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant is required.
- Current California Physician Assistant license required.
- NCCPA certification required; DEA certification or ability to obtain required before start.
- BLS certification required; strong collaboration in surgical/clinic environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- First assist in orthopedic surgical procedures.
- Autonomous patient care with physician collaboration.
- Manage a variety of orthopedic conditions and injuries in clinic and OR.
- Collaborate with surgeons, APPs, nurses, and rehab team.
