  • Surgical focus on upper extremity, including hand, elbow and shoulder procedures as elective and non-elective cases.
  • Collaborative practice with Physician Assistants and Surgical Assistants within TPMG
  • Manage OR time with an eventual goal of ~2 days per week
  • Participation in teaching, research, and leadership within a physician-led organization

Job description

TPMG is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Hand/Upper Extremity Surgeon to join our collegial team in South Sacramento. Position Highlights

  1. Team Composition: after this hire 9 surgeons (3 Hand/Shoulder/Elbow, 2 Total Joint (hips/knees), 2 Sports, 2 Trauma)

  2. Collaborative Model: Work closely with 2 experienced Physician Assistants and dedicated specialized Surgical Assistants

  3. Surgical Focus: Upper Extremity, both elective and non-elective. Hand/elbow/shoulder expertise HIGHLY desired

  4. OR Time: eventual goal 2 days per week

  5. Call Schedule: ~1 in 9 (Level 2 community trauma)

    Dedicated trauma room time available staffed by Trauma Orthopedic Surgeons to place cases picked up on call the next day or later
