Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for our Orthopedic Surgery team. This PRN position supports a multidisciplinary care model and requires strong clinical skills in orthopedic settings.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of APP Orthopedic Surgery experience, NC licensure, and BLS; DEA/DPS registration is needed to start. Location and hours are negotiable, offering flexibility within a leading academic health system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree preferred.
• Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, NCCPA certification (PA path).
• Board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (for NP path) or equivalent NP certification.
• Current BLS is required to start; DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in team-based patient care within the Orthopedic Surgery department.
• Conduct examinations and evaluations; develop and implement patient care plans.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic procedures; explain procedures to patients.
• Perform department-specific procedures and potentially precept students/learners.
