Job summary

Excelsia Injury Care in Virginia seeks an experienced physician to oversee diagnosis and treatment of occupational or motor vehicle injuries. You will prepare patients for return to work and recommend tests to determine injury extent and appropriate treatment.

MD/DO from an accredited medical school is required with BC/BE in Interventional Pain, PM&R, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurology, or Sports Medicine. An unrestricted license to practice medicine in Virginia is needed, with BLS/ACLS and a DEA

• BC/BE in Interventional Pain, PM&R, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurology, or Sports Medicine.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state where work will be performed.
• BLS/ACLS certification.

The compensation range for this position is $200-250 per hour commensurate with experience.

Job Duties

• MD/DO from an accredited educational institution
• BC/BE in Interventional Pain, PM&R, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurology, or Sports Medicine
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state work will be performed
• Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• DEA license
• Ability to effectively interact with doctors, patients, and co-workers
• Tact and skill in patient management
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to mentor and supervise staff
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Medicine – Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures
• Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing
• customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

Physical/Mental Requirements

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, working with body bent over at waist, working in kneeling position, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, working with arms extended at shoulder length, lifting max. of 20 lbs.
