Job summary

Concentra is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to join our Richmond, CA location on a 1099 independent contractor basis. The role involves working a 4-hour shift on-site, either weekly or biweekly, to complement your current practice and provide both non-surgical and surgical orthopedic services for work-related injuries.

You will collaborate with medical and therapy teams, communicate with employers, and participate in case management to expedite return to work and functional restoration.

Qualifications

• Must have work-injury experience and be able to coordinate care across teams.
• Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program.
• Unrestricted DEA license for state of practice.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Must carry medical malpractice insurance.
• Experience with managing workers’ compensation or related cases is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients on site for a 4-hour shift weekly or biweekly.
• Collaborate with medical and therapy providers to deliver comprehensive care.
