Job summary

The Staff Orthopedic Surgeon position is located in Specialty Care at the VA Providence Healthcare System. The role requires maintaining clinical and administrative excellence while delivering timely, high-quality orthopedic care across adult patients.

The incumbent will participate in teaching residents and medical students, comply with credentialing, and may be involved in on-call and after-hours duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
• Current, full, unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States.
• Completion of residency in an accredited core orthopedic specialty training program.
• Board certification or eligibility for board certification in an appropriate orthopedic specialty.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clinical and administrative competencies to provide high-quality orthopedic care.
• Provide patient care across adult age groups from 18 through geriatrics.
• Assist with teaching residents and medical students and participate in credentialing and privileging.
