Job summary

OhioHealth in Athens, Ohio is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to join a small practice with resident and medical student rotations. The role includes general orthopedic surgery, joint replacement, fracture care, and arthroscopic procedures, with teaching opportunities and leadership development through the OhioHealth Physician Leadership Institute.

Open to hand, wrist, or spine specialists, with a supportive call schedule and attractive compensation packages including bonuses and relocation

• BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon
• Hand, wrist, or spine specialist strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide general orthopedic surgery services including total joint replacement, ligament and tendon repairs, fracture care, ORIF, and arthroscopic joint procedures.
• Collaborate with residents and medical students during rotations; participate in teaching activities.

Description

• Join three other physicians and two PAs in an orthopedic practice in Athens, Ohio
• General orthopedic surgery, total joint replacement, ligament and tendon repairs, joint instability, fracture care, ORIF, arthroscopic joint surgery
• Open to specialists, but no current need for any additional orthopedic sports specialists
• Resident and med student rotations through Ohio University, teaching opportunities
• Call schedule: every other week, Monday through Monday call, 30 min location call restriction
