Job description

Opportunity Overview

Bone Drs Orthopedic Care, a physician owned and physician governed orthopedic group, is seeking a fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join our growing Central Texas practice.

This is an opportunity to join an established orthopedic practice with strong regional demand and an existing referral pipeline, giving the incoming surgeon the ability to build a robust surgical practice within a proven clinical infrastructure.

The incoming surgeon will join a collaborative orthopedic organization that values clinical autonomy, surgical innovation, multidisciplinary care, and long term physician growth.

Bone Drs serves patients throughout Austin, San Marcos, and Bastrop, with physicians expected to practice across multiple clinics based on patient and practice needs.

Why Bone Drs?

Immediate Practice Opportunity
Step into an established referral network with strong regional demand and the opportunity to rapidly build a high volume spine practice.

High Volume Surgical Practice
Clinical volume includes degenerative spine conditions, minimally invasive spine surgery, deformity correction, and cervical arthroplasty.

Advanced Surgical Infrastructure
Benefit from block OR time at leading regional surgical hospitals and access to partner owned Ambulatory Surgery Centers equipped with intraoperative navigation and robotic spine systems.

Dedicated Physician Support
Work with dedicated PA C or Nurse Practitioner support, surgical teams, and an experienced administrative and billing department designed to allow physicians to focus on patient care and practice growth.

Integrated Care Beyond the Procedure
Bone Drs extends care beyond the physician visit or surgical procedure. Recover + Perform, our in-house physical therapy, performance, and recovery facility, adds another layer to the Bone Drs care model by supporting patients through rehabilitation, recovery, and return to function.

Combined with in-house MRI, digital radiography, rehabilitation resources, and dedicated pain management specialists, this creates a connected musculoskeletal care environment designed to support patients across the full spectrum of spine care.

For a spine surgeon, this means patients can move through evaluation, conservative management, surgical intervention when appropriate, postoperative rehabilitation, recovery, and return to function within a coordinated Bone Drs care model.

Central Texas Practice

Bone Drs currently operates clinics in Austin, San Marcos, and Bastrop. Physicians should expect to work across multiple locations based on the needs of their practice.

Partnership & Growth Opportunities

Bone Drs offers physicians a pathway toward partnership along with opportunities to participate in ownership and ancillary services as they grow within the organization.

Additional opportunities may include:

  • ASC ownership
  • Real estate partnerships
  • Imaging
  • DME
  • Other ancillary revenue opportunities based on physician role and practice development

Specific partnership timelines will not be advertised publicly.

Compensation & Benefits

Bone Drs offers competitive compensation while intentionally keeping specific compensation figures out of the public posting.

Benefits and support may include:

  • Competitive compensation
  • Production based incentive opportunities
  • Recruiting incentives
  • Medical malpractice insurance with tail coverage
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with practice contribution
  • Annual CME allowance
  • Dedicated clinical and administrative support
Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Successful completion of an ACGME accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency
  • Fellowship training in Spine Surgery from an accredited program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery
