Job summary

OrthoAlliance in Ohio, part of SCA Health, is seeking a Physician Assistant to support a board-eligible neurosurgeon specializing in spine surgery. The PA will evaluate musculoskeletal conditions, order tests, and help develop treatment plans, including injections and referrals for physical therapy.

Responsibilities include operating room assistance 2–3 days weekly, coordinating care with orthopedic surgeons, and educating patients on management and post-operative care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and current licensure in Ohio.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and postoperative care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop treatment plans for musculoskeletal conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Assist in surgical procedures 2–3 days per week.
• Coordinate care with orthopedic surgeons and other providers.
• Manage patient schedules and medical records.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatments, and post-care instructions.
