Job summary

Collective Group is seeking a Spine/Sports Medicine/Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) for on-site work in Meeker, CO. You will support surgeons with pre- and post-op care, perform exams, document encounters, and participate in hospital transfers as needed.

Requirements include Colorado licensure, DEA, IBOP, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. Two years in orthopedics or emergency care is expected, with strong communication and EHR skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Maintain a current Colorado Licensure, Federal DEA and IBOP certifications.
• Complete adequate CME as required by licensure.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Apply and remove dressings, sutures, and/or staples.
• Evaluate, treat, and provide follow-up care for post-op patients.
• Perform physical assessments, return-to-work evaluations, and physicals.
• Assist physician in patient duties including rooming, vitals, history, and procedures.
• Evaluate, examine, stabilize acutely ill patients, and coordinate transfers as needed.
• Inpatient hospital coverage for daytime admissions and transfers for nighttime admissions.
• Timely discharge reporting to primary care physicians.
• Documentation of patient encounters and adherence to confidentiality.
