Job summary

Pioneers Medical Center in Meeker, CO is seeking licensed nursing staff across RN, LPN, CNA, PCT, MA and CMA roles for on-site care. This full-time position reports to Dr.

Borchard and requires caring for postoperative and general patients, with emphasis on safe patient handling, accurate documentation, and teamwork. Colorado licensure and current BLS/ACLS/PALS are required, along with at least two years in orthopedics or emergency care.

Qualifications

• Maintain Colorado licensure, Federal DEA and IBOP certifications.
• Maintain current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• At least 2 years experience in orthopedics or emergency care settings evaluating and treating a broad range of patients.

Responsibilities

• Apply and remove dressings, sutures, and/or staples.
• Evaluate, treat, and provide follow-up care for patients in post-op status.
• Perform physical assessments, work related return to work evaluations and physicals, and disability type determinations.
• Assist the physician in all patient duties including rooming patients, taking vital signs, patient history, and procedures.
• Evaluate and perform examinations, provide stabilization for patients with acute serious medical conditions and injury.
• Facilitate transfer as appropriate to an emergency facility or hospital.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Manage patient care in a timely manner and maintain a level of productivity equal to other providers on staff.
• Interpret radiology, EKG, laboratory, and basic pulmonary function tests.
• Thoroughly and accurately document every patient encounter.
• Perform required quality assurance steps in the patient care process.
• Bill appropriately for each visit.
• Interact with office, laboratory, radiology, and nursing staff as part of the patient care process.
• Interface, as appropriate and necessary, with providers and medical personnel within the hospital.
• Other duties as assigned
