Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist (scrub technologist) to support the Surgical Services department at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. Orthopedic OR experience is strongly preferred and successful candidates will scrub and assist with operative cases while maintaining aseptic technique.

The role involves assisting in patient care activities, accessing the medication/supply room, transporting patients, and supporting the team to ensure readiness

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical Technologist Course from an Accredited CAHEA Program preferred.
• 1 year experience as a surgical technologist preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Follows aseptic techniques for scrub duties and support in the department.
• Performs scrub duties as assigned in service areas.
• Assists in carrying out patient care tasks within the surgical technologist scope of practice and unit guidelines.
