Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Clinical Specialist to support orthopedic surgeries with both robotic (Mako SmartRobotics) and manual procedures. You will assist with pre-operative planning, system setup, and real-time workflows to ensure safe outcomes, while developing deep clinical and technical expertise.

In this role you will gain hands-on experience with Mako CT-based planning, implant sizing, and intra-operative support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
• Associate degree with 4 years of professional and/or related experience acceptable.
• High school diploma with 6 years of professional and/or related experience acceptable.
• Preferred: 1 year of relevant clinical work experience (nursing, PT, surgical tech, athletic training, etc.).
• Fluency in written and spoken English required.

Responsibilities

• Gain competency in solo case coverage for manual and robotic procedures through hands-on training.
• Assist surgeons with pre-operative CT-based planning, implant sizing, and positioning using advanced software.
• Support full case preparation, including instrumentation checks, equipment setup, and OR readiness.
• Troubleshoot technical issues confidently and efficiently in the operating room.
• Learn and support workflow for daily account coordination, including inventory management and logistics.
• Shadow experienced teammates to understand territory dynamics and surgeon preferences.
• Participate in product demonstrations, cadaver labs, education programs, and customer training events.
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with surgeons, OR staff, and cross-functional partners.
